Durand-Wayland, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Sales Engineer to develop, build, and maintain trusted relationships with accounts in specific regions of North America. This role requires a sales engineer who aligns with our client’s values, listens to their specific needs, and strives to exceed expectations. The goal is to keep customers happy and margins growing.

You will play a key role in developing, building, and maintaining accounts within the region. We seek someone knowledgeable in the agriculture industry who will integrate seamlessly with our current sales team to provide the highest level of customer service and sales to all our existing and future customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Retain and strategically grow sales volume through effective management and development of assigned accounts and regions.
- Track market trends, competitor information, and identify business opportunities.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Assess market potential and identify new business opportunities.
- Research data and use intuition and experience to provide knowledge-based solutions to customers.
- Leverage customer knowledge to identify business opportunities.
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships.
- Conduct pre-sales activities including demonstrations and technical presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to coordinate project management efforts and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Assist Application Engineers with data capture and design.
Qualifications:
- A self-starter with 3-5 years of successful experience in equipment sales and relationship development.
- Experience with ACAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- A creative problem solver who can help customers improve efficiency.
- Proven track record of strong sales, customer relations, meeting quotas, and closing deals.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Initiative to undertake self-development activities and seek increased responsibilities.
- Must be independent and self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a remote/home office setting.
- Aptitude to work within a collaborative environment utilizing technology tools.
- Ability and desire to travel extensively.
Compensation: This is a remote position, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. The base salary will be determined by experience and will include an uncapped commission structure.
